I’m a postdoctoral researcher at the NASA Jet Propulsion Lab, Caltech working on spatio-temporal modeling for earth science problems. Prior to JPL, I received a PhD and Master’s in Statistics from Iowa State University, and Bachelor’s in Chemistry and Mathematics from St. Louis University.

My passion for data science is rooted in my love of mathematics and a desire to use it to solve real world problems. The common thread in my projects have been the analysis of large and high dimensional data to uncover interesting patterns. In my graduate research, I developed hypothesis tests for complex, spatio-temporal data with novel visualizations for environmental and bbiological applications. In my postdoctoral research, I am studying the effect of wildfires on vegetation using functional data analysis, and developing data fusion methodology to leverage multiple sources of measurements using Bayesian methods.

Interests: Functional data analysis, time series, high dimensional data, Bayesian methods, machine learning, and informative visualizations
